Trough history beards and mustaches were a very important detail. If you would look up the images of great leaders trough history you would get to see that all of them had mustaches or beards. The psychoanalysts as well as Freud would agree that the hair on the cheeks: the beard and mustaches represent the extension of manliness. Man was not a man without a certain look and that included taking care of the facial look too. I am sure that you all have heard about circus attractions of those days which included ladies with lots of hair on their faces, which were known as beard women. Now the science gave name for all of those things, and it is called hormones, and it is treated with lasers and things like that, and maybe your neighbor is a beard woman too, but you don’t know it. As all the things have changed, the emancipation took more and more
spread, we all wanted to look the same and not to show our sex, men started shaving their mustaches and beards (some women too), and here is the product of what we have today. I surely do hope that soon we will get to see that pointing up our sex is not a bad thing.
