You have heard that lots of iconic historic artifacts have their replica. Most of the old world seven wonders have been ruined by time, and they had no replica. In way to preserve something you need to have a back up which will be easily showed off without fearing that it will be stolen or destroyed. Something what no one had an idea of doing is to make replica of the Great Wall of China. Yes, you heard it well. The idea was to make the wall, but no stones or something similar will be used in this project. Have you ever imagined even in your sweetest dreams that the wall is made out of chocolate? It is not the case of just any wall in the world, but here we are talking about The Wall! And as if this was not enough, Chinese wanted to show Terracotta Warriors in new clothes too. As you know there is estimated that in those pits was more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits. And the interesting part is that they are in their actual sizes. Now since you know all about this two things what do you think about the amount of chocolate required to make this sweet part of history comes alive. The chocolate wall is made from solid dark chocolate bricks stuck together with white chocolate and is one of the attractions at the World Chocolate Wonderland exhibition and trade show that opens later this month. The truth is that the replica is not at actual size as the original is, but never the less, the wall made out of chocolate, 10 meter long is not something you can see every day. Up to 80 tonnes of chocolate were used in making the displays, which include a mini-army of 560 chocolate replicas of the famous Terracotta Warriors standing to attention on a layer of chocolate flakes. Chocolate has not such a long tradition in China as in the West has, but Chinese rise it up to the another level. Enjoy in pictures, and maybe this will be able to be tried?
