1. Tom Cruise

We could seriously write a book about Tom Cruise’s embarrassing moments, but since we’re confined to a paragraph, let’s get right to it. The actor makes a fool of himself every time he dresses up like that Les Grossman character (seen here putting his back into it). Of course there was that painfully awkward couch-jumping moment on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and how could we forget the time he laughed so hard he farted while being interviewed by David Letterman? Cruise truly outdid himself though during an appearance on BET, when he decided to pull out the “air motorcycle” dance moves.

2. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera chose one of the most public places of all for her big embarrassing moment — the Super Bowl. While singing the national anthem in February, the troubled songstress botched the lyrics during the live performance, viewed by more than 111 million people worldwide. Adding insult to injury, she fell off the stage at the Grammy’s later that month! Clearly not done with her embarrassment streak, Aguilera was then arrested in March for public drunkenness.

3. David Hasselhoff

Admit it, we’ve all starred in our own drunken burger episode at some point, but in the case of actor David Hasselhoff, his was caught on video by his own daughter, who uploaded it online. Not only was the “Knight Rider” actor topless and slurring his words while attempting to get his mouth around the messy meat, but he was eating off the floor to boot. It was definitely not the star’s proudest moment, especially with that stubborn piece of lettuce clinging to his cheek.

4. Jessica Simpson

While most stars avoid embarrassing situations like the plague, Jessica Simpson has made them her shtick, milking her airhead image all the way to the bank (whether it’s a conscious effort or not!) The legendary “Is this chicken what I have, or is this fish?” comment about Chicken of the Sea tuna on MTV’s “The Newlyweds” paved the way for many dumb quotes over the years but lucky for Simpson, rather than turn fans off, they seem to make her that much more loveable.

5. Britney Spears

There’s a reason why “Oops she did it again!” is the most over-used headline in entertainment news. Whether Britney Spears is driving around with a baby on her lap, shaving off all her hair, picking up pregnancy tests with her paparazzo boyfriend or flying into a rage while chasing photographers with an umbrella, there aren’t many embarrassing situations in the pop star’s life that haven’t been chronicled. And that’s before we even get to the time she was wheeled into an ambulance to the psych ward while cameras snapped every last awkward moment.

6. Ashlee Simpson

Embarrassing moments are one thing, but sometimes it’s the way people handle them which can be even more awkward. This brings us to Ashlee Simpson and her infamous lip-syncing ordeal on “Saturday Night Live” in 2004, where the songstress admitted “I made a complete fool of myself.” When the wrong song track played and exposed the fact Simpson wasn’t actually singing. Instead of facing the music, she did an impromptu jig and ran off the stage.

7. Janet Jackson

It was the wardrobe malfunction seen ’round the world which paved the way for an endless parade of nipple slips to come. While there is still some disputing whether Janet Jackson intended for Justin Timberlake to expose her pierced areola during their halftime show performance at the Super Bowl in 2004, there is no disputing the professional embarrassment which followed the fiasco known as Nipplegate.

8. John Travolta

The “Pulp Fiction” actor must have a thick skin dealing with rumours of his alleged gay spa escapades and his strict Scientology beliefs which many have suggested led to his teenage son’s death. But even the most intense tabloid speculation about his personal life may not have prepared him for the ultimate embarrassment earlier this month when a member of his team tried unsuccessfully to book the actor a reservation at a KFC in England.

9. Miley Cyrus

One of the problems with fame can be not knowing who to trust, something teen superstar Miley Cyrus knows all too well after her 18th birthday shenanigans were broadcast for the world (including her protective parents) to see. The bong-toting “Hannah Montana” starlet was captured giggling up a storm after smoking the psychedelic herb salvia, before rambling incoherently and obsessing over her on-off boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

10. Mariah Carey

We’re embarrassed for the world’s most famous diva pretty much every time she opens her mouth but Mariah Carey seems far too busy organizing her walk-in closets to let shame slow her down. Our jaws have dropped over the years with her countless clueless comments, including the doozie she dropped upon hearing King Jordan had passed away. “I love Jordan. He was one of the greatest athletes of our time.” Then of course there was this other gem: “Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can’t help but cry. I mean I’d love to be skinny like that but not with all those flies and death and stuff.”

10. Paris Hilton

This one only comes in at number ten because, well, it’s Paris Hilton and I’m not sure anyone was really all that surprised when news broke that there was a sex tape of her with ex, Rick Solomon. To be honest, the sex tape was actually pretty hot, but by the time her phone was hacked and more pictures came to light – even considering the fact that there was a woman involved – the world more or less collectively yawned.

9. Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane

I’m not sure this crazy tape could be considered a sex tape as there is no actual sex involved, but there’s plenty of nudity and enough references to sex to be certain some funny business took place when the cameras stopped rolling. I was a little disappointed by this one. Rebecca’s a gorgeous woman. Eric’s a gorgeous man.

8. Kim Kardashian and Ray J

Boy, remember when this thing came out? Holy cow. So much drama. This sex tape staring Kim Kardashian and Brandy’s little brother, Ray J was all anyone could talk about. It’s really what got people talking about ‘the butt’ and put her name on everyone’s lips. Is the sex tape what launched her career? Maybe not – but it definitely didn’t hurt it.

7. Kendra Wilkinson

The real shock of the Kendra Wilkinson sex tape wasn’t really that she had made one but that she seemed so against it getting out there. I mean, honestly, she was a stripper. She’s been in Playboy and the tape itself was hot, hot, hot. In all honesty, Kendra’s sex tape was one of the sexiest celebrity sex tapes I’ve seen in a long time. Perhaps that was the most shocking thing. I think Kendra could really have a career in hardcore pornography if the whole reality star thing doesn’t work out for her.

6. Kristin Davis

Charlotte from Sex and the City has a sex tape? Well, it’s not exactly a sex tape but it’s pretty darn close. Apparently shot in 1992 with her then boyfriend, the pictures show a naked Kristin getting up to all sorts of naughty behavior. From a little oral to the actual act itself, Kristin’s ex released these pictures because he was angry at her over… well, who cares. Pretty classy guy, right? The shocker here wasn’t that these pictures hit the internet. The shocker was that they were the real deal and her people admitted it.

5. Rob Lowe

The Rob Lowe sex tape has largely been forgotten, but as the first celebrity sex tape I really remember hearing about, I felt the need to include it on this list and let’s be honest – this one was scandalous even by today’s standards. Two girls (and maybe a guy? I can’t remember) one of whom was underage. A lawsuit. A stint in rehab. This sex tape story had everything. Rob took some time away and bounced back, though. Serious kudos to him for that.

4. Vanessa Williams

The first African American woman to get the crown. A short time later, Penthouse magazine published nude photos of the beauty queen taken years earlier and brought her reign to an early end. Interesting side note – Playboy refused to publish the pictures because of the embarrassment such an action would cause her, especially considering her position as the first African American Miss America winner. Classy act on the part of Mr. Hugh Hefner – not so much on the part of Bob Guccione of Penthouse.

3. Vanessa Hudgens

The Disney queen bared it all in a series of cell phone pictures taken via a mirror never intending for those photos to see the light of day. They were intended for her boyfriend, she claimed, but a hacker got their hands on them and they hit the internet. After a second and third leak, Vanessa admitted they were all from the same series of photos and that legal action would be taken. Alas, that action came too late and the damage to the young starlet’s reputation was done.

2. Montana Fishburne

This, for me, was the single most shocking celebrity sex tape of all time. Not because some major celebrity got caught with their pants down as, well, I had no idea Montana Fishburne existed until the tape came out, but because she wanted the sex tape to come in. She wanted to be a star and chose to go the Kim Kardashian route instead of, you know, mastering a craft and working hard to gain respect. The fact that Lawrence Fishburne’s daughter would actually pursue a career in porn was actually a little sad. That poor man. That poor girl. A sad and shocking situation all around.

These plastic rodents are prone to getting caught underneath your furniture. No good. Did I mention they make shrill noises each time you walk by said furniture thanks to built-in motion sensors? Didn’t think so.

Ah yes. The toy microphone.See, every kid is trilled with the sound of his or her own voice. And when you amplify that voice, you amplify the delight. Which means if you have more than one child, there’s bound to be fighting. You know, because delightful experiences are highly desirable and all. And while the fighting is enough to drive you crazy, it’s nothing compared to the high-pitched screeches that come out of the speaker, poorly disguised as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

5. Chicken Dance Elmo

Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a duck. Quack, quack, quack, quack. Well which is it? Does he wanna be a duck or chicken? He’s quacking, so I assume he wants to be a duck, yet he’s also dressed in a chicken costume which would indicate a poultry preference. So why the duck is he quacking?

What kind of look do you need for this…well, everything goes and a tortoise, and not to forget beach and sun! How to prepare Mojito: For one glass you’ll be needing 2-3 oz Light Rum, juice of one lime, 2 tsp of sugar, 2-4 mint sprigs and soda water. Lightly muddle the mint and sugar with a splash of soda water in a mixing glass until the sugar dissolve and you smell the mint. Squeeze the lime into the glass, add rum and shake with ice, strain over cracked ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water, garnish with mint sprig and serve!

What kind of look you need for this…well, you must be great with the ladies, and have a Photoshoped body and a closet full of expensive suits. How to prepare Old Fashioned: Place the sugar cube (or 1/2 teaspoon loose sugar) in an Old-Fashioned glass. Wet it down with 2 or 3 dashes of Angostura bitters and a short splash of water or club soda. Crush the sugar with a wooden muddler, chopstick, strong spoon, lipstick, cartridge case, whatever. Rotate the glass so that the sugar grains and bitters give it a lining. Add a large ice cube. Pour in the rye (or bourbon). Serve with a stirring rod.

Add ice and stir until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into chilled martini or coupe glass. Squeeze orange peel over drink, making sure oils fall into glass, then discard peel. Thread cherry onto skewer, place in drink, and serve.

You’ll be needing clothes peg for the nose and a trough of water to dunk your head into when you come round. Now promise you’ll never drink that much again… at least until next time. How to prepare Wake-up Juice: Take large and indiscriminate amounts of olive juice, Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, chilli peppers and onion and mustard seeds, mix them in a jar and pour them directly into the mouth using a funnel. How to prepare Screwdriver: Add twice as much orange juice as vodka to a glass of ice, garnish with a slice of orange and attempt to drink. If you miss your mouth and throw the drink in your own face, you’re doing fine.

This is probably the cheapest country to backpack to. Getting to India is very easy, the ticket is easy to book, and India is just amazing. Food, accommodation and travel is the cheapest. Backpacker’s hostels are located in all the major cities. If you decide to backpack in India, than you must say good bye to luxuries like hot water pressure and air conditioning. But what you are to experience there is just incredible.

2. BRAZIL

There is no reason to present to you this country specially. When you get in Brazil, as you know you will get to Rio De Janeiro. This is one great city to visit, but this should not be your only destination, because you can travel through the country a little bit. The transportation is cheap, the only thing you should worry is not to get hustled while exchanging the money. What will take your breath away is surely the jungle of Amazon, be sure to see it.

3. SRI LANKA

One thing which will surprise you here is how people are friendly and willing to help you. This is the case with all the Buddhist countries. people are just amazing. The Buddha statues and Galle Face Green Promenade in Colombo are awesome. You will feel as though you have traveled to another time and place when you come to Sri Lanka.

4. BALI

There is nothing not to love about Bali, specially if you like surfing, Bali will be the perfect destination for you. Bali is just a must for every backpacker. For college students, it is easy to get around and meet other college students Visit museums and galleries and take in a Balinese dance with an authentic dinner.

5. THAILAND

Every backpacker somehow ends up in Bangkok. It is Thailand’s capital. That is a place for people who like to party. You will find party here from dusk till dawn, and during the whole day. From Bangkok is easy to get to any of Thailand’s islands. There you will find tropical jungles, long stretches of beaches, caves,waterfalls, and locals are why tourists love to come to this place. Smiling people are wherever you go. Must visit is a Full Moon Party on the island Koh Phangan.

6. CROATIA

Croatia will give you the illusion that you are somewhere expensive. You will get a dose of glamor but for less money. Accommodation is really easy to find, and if you want to save some extra money you should go off the season.

7. MOROCCO

If you like sand, you will find lots of it here plus camels. Morocco is a holistic paradise where you check your home comforts at the door and welcome getting back to the basics. You will save some money while backpacking. There is no electricity and running water everywhere, but you’ll be good in hotels and hostels. Most of them have it. This will be a true adventure, for those who love this kind of things.

8. GREECE

Greece is one of the oldest countries, and tourism is nothing new for them. I can say that it is one touristic heaven. Summer is the best time to come here when the weather is perfect and every shop is open for tourist season. You can visit ancient ruins from thousands of years ago or head to the beach on one of the amazing islands. Whatever you choose you will be having a fabulous time exploring Greece. Plus you get to it all for very cheap as a college backpacker.

9. UGANDA

This is one really cheap destination, but not all the country is safe to visit. This country is known for the nasty leadership and a brutal civil war. Uganda is coming back on the world tourist map. With one thing you should know before you decide to visit this country:

10. UKRAINE

I believe this is the cheapest country in Europe. If you are a beer lover, than you will be surprised to find it here cheaper than water.
